What You Need¶
- 7 Days to Die installed through Steam
- WalkerSim2 mod zip downloaded from the latest release (
WalkerSim2-{version}.zip) - Optionally, the Editor tool (
WalkerSim2-Editor-Mac-arm64-{version}.zip)
Step 1: Locate Your 7 Days to Die Game Folder¶
- Open Steam.
- Go to your Library and find 7 Days to Die.
- Right-click the game and select Manage > Browse local files.
- This will open the main 7 Days to Die installation directory.
Example path:
/Users/your_user_name/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/7 Days To Die

Folder paths may vary depending on your macOS setup and installation method.
Step 2: Download and Extract WalkerSim2¶
- Download the latest
WalkerSim2-{version}.zipfrom the Releases page. - Use an extraction tool like The Unarchiver or the built-in Archive Utility to unpack the archive.
- You should get a folder named:
WalkerSim2
Step 3: Install WalkerSim2¶
- Navigate to the
Modsfolder inside your 7 Days to Die installation directory. - Move the WalkerSim2 folder you extracted into the
Modsfolder.
Your folder structure should look like:
Inside theWalkerSim2 folder, you should see files like ModInfo.xml and other related files and folders.
Step 4: Disable EAC (Easy Anti-Cheat)¶
Important: This mod cannot run with EAC enabled.
- Open Steam and go to your Library.
- Right-click on 7 Days to Die and select Properties.
- In the General tab, find "Selected Launch Option".
- Set it to "Launch game without EAC".
- Close the Properties window.
Step 5: Launch the Game¶
- Start 7 Days to Die through Steam.
- WalkerSim2 should automatically load if installed correctly.
- Start a new game or continue an existing one.
Troubleshooting¶

- Ensure that the mod is placed directly inside the
Modsfolder (no nested folders likeMods/WalkerSim2/WalkerSim2/ModInfo.xml). - Double-check that the WalkerSim2 version matches your installed game version.

Important: Check for 0_TFP_Harmony¶
WalkerSim2 depends on a core mod called 0_TFP_Harmony, which should already be present in your Mods folder.
- If
0_TFP_Harmonyis missing: - Open Steam.
- Right-click on 7 Days to Die and select Properties.
- Go to the Installed Files tab.
- Click Verify integrity of game files.
Steam will scan your installation and automatically restore any missing files, including 0_TFP_Harmony.
